We all grew up knowing what our birth stone is, right? I'm born in the month of July, so rubies were always my birthstone. I have always loved rubies. Today I’m writing about crystals combined with your astrological chart. I love crystals and became a Certified Crystal Healer with Hibiscus Moon Academy in January 2015.
This past week, I watched Ashley Leavy, Director of Love and Light School. Ashley’s school opens for enrollment biannually. With Hibiscus you get the scientific education of the crystals and stones. Hibiscus was a science teacher at one time herself. Love and Light appears to me as a more of “how-to” school. While watching Love and Light conference, one of the people being interviewed caught my attention over the others. Her name is Shakti Carola Navran.
Shakti was a jeweler along with being an astrologer in Germany. She now lives in Maui. Interestingly, Shakti claims the birthstone we all grew up thinking we had is not our true birthstone. I’ve heard this from Hibiscus first.
It was hard to wrap my heard around. Mainly because I have always thought rubies were my birthstone, and I am very drawn to rubies. So now I have heard the information twice and I am finding it fun to learn something new. Shakti actually believes we have 14 birthstones that correspond to our individual astrological natal charts.
I am a lucky girl, since rubies are still one of my birthstones because my North Node is in Aries and in my fourth houses. Besides being one of my birthstones, rubies are good for warning you of bad luck, illness, or other sorrows when it darkens. It is also a stone of abundance, allowing you to sustain your wealth and joy.
My love stone, according to Shakti, is Emerald. I have to admit, I have never been attracted to emeralds nor did I own an emerald when I found this out. That dark green sparkle just does not appeal to me, so I chose to purchase a raw emerald. For me, the color of raw emerald has more appeal. Now I am wearing it by my heart chakra every day and am looking forward to working with the energy of emerald. In fact, emerald is known as the “Stone of Successful Love”, promoting loyalty and domestic bliss, unconditional love, and friendship. If it changes color, it is considered a sign of infidelity.
For the last couple of years, I have had a real interest in going to Herkimer, New York to dig for Herkimer diamonds with my cousin Heather. I felt even luckier when I found out Herkimer diamonds are connected in three of my astrological houses. I have Herkimer diamond earrings that I found on Etsy on daily as well. Herkimer diamonds are also good for dream recall, linking into guidance from higher dimensions, and facilitates soul retrieval.
When Heather retires we will be off to New York. Another stone I have wanted for a long time is aquamarine. I bought a raw aquamarine from Dawn at Sterling Seraph in Ohio. With my Moon in Aries and in my fourth house, aquamarine is one of my birthstones. Aquamarine is also good for dealing with stress and fear, and it also promotes intuition and aids in finding closure on all levels.
Finally, when I was first dating my husband Dick, he and his sister Cathy went to Austria to visit their brother, Doug, Dick brought me home a beautiful opal necklace. When I wore it, people would tell me it is bad luck to wear an opal if it is not your birthstone. Come to find out I have fire opals as my birthstone with my Sun in Cancer and in the eighth house and Uranus in Cancer and in the eight house. Also, white opal is one of my birthstones with my Mars in Libra and in the tenth house. With my Ascendant in Scorpio, all opals are considered my birthstone. So, my opal necklace is great for me to wear and it is extremely special to me.
Opals should be special to you too, since it heals the earth’s energy fields and induces metaphysical and mystical visions.
