Weight and belly fat has been a concern for me for over 10 years. Doctors tell me eat less exercise more. I said if I eat any less I will not be eating. I was consuming 1000 calories some days, to be honest less than that most days. The doctor says I am sure you are eating more than you think you are, so I was left without any answers. A few months ago I was talking to my cousin who just graduated to be a nurse (so proud of her). She said there is something off in your body. She said I do not know what it is, but she has been around me enough to know I am not over eating and I am not a snacker.
Shortly after that, I saw information on Facebook about leaky gut. I had never heard of that before so onto google I went. When I went in for my yearly physical, I asked to be checked for a leaky gut. Although the person I was seeing knew what the leaky gut was, I was told they had no way to check for it.
My next stop was Health Matters in Bath, Michigan. They confirmed that I did have a leaky gut and my organs were not properly functioning. Thanks to the high integrity level at Health Maters I was sent to a place in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area for help. If you are in my area and have the same concerns contact me at HealingWithLynne@yahoo.com and I can get a referral coupon to you.
Leaky gut is another name for candida or fungus. It happens when the bad bacteria in your system takes over the good bacteria. This happens taking medications. When you take medications it kills off the good and bad bacteria in your gut. Probiotics are needed to rebuild the good bacteria in your gut.
Another cause is too much sugar in your diet and food that convert into sugar in your system. The last cause that I am aware of is food sensitives; with that test I found most of what I was eating I was sensitive to. At this point, my diet is very strict.
It is my understanding we all have Candida to some extent. When it is under control it poses no concerns. When it grows and multiplies out of control, it can cause numerous symptoms and health concerns. From the tops of our heads with migraines to the tips of our toes with nail fungus. It can result in symptoms in our body including pain and malfunction of organs. Outside of our bodies, we can see different types of rashes.
Here are many of the symptoms caused by an overgrowth of candida, although these may mean other health problems. Always check with your doctor first.
Causes of candida overgrowth
The healthy bacteria in your gut naturally keeps your candida levels in check. However, several factors can cause the candida overgrowth to get out of control:
I do need to say I am not a doctor. My services should never be used instead of medical treatment, it should be used as an additional modality to becoming and remaining healthy. It is recommended you consult with your health professional when concerned about a health related issue.
However, this is something I wish I had known about, but did not. We need to take probiotics to put the good bacteria back into our system. You will need to check with your health provider on how to take them. Probiotics are now a part of my diet and always will be. I’ve heard you start taking them when your medications are done. Another time I have read that you take probiotics four hours after you take your medications. Again, I am not a doctor so I really cannot advise you on this, but I do advise you to seek professional resources should you suspect you have Candida overgrowth.
Best of luck to you…and as always make today a great day! :)
